The Petro Outlet Connector Software is a software needed when you are doing a gas station, a veeder-root, or a camera. This software is what allows Petro Outlet the ability to record and upload clips to petrooutlet.com, as well as send readings and do fuel prices, etc.
It needs to be downloaded onto a store's computer, it cannot be your own. Most gas stations have a computer already. However, if they don't, we buy laptops for them to use. It needs to be a laptop because they will be using it often. For C-stores where they just need a camera, I would recommend just putting a connect box in. A connect box is a small computer that Petro Outlet will send upon request that does the same job as a laptop, however it doesn't have a built in screen. All computer must be Windows based, which Connect Boxes and the laptops we buy are.
For the laptops, try to find the cheapest one possible that will get the job done. Minimum specs would be an i5 processor with 8gb of ram. Our aim cost is about $300 but it will vary.
To learn how to set up the connector, follow the second half of the 'Integrating with Gilbarco/Verifone' guides or 'Integating with SuperSonic POS'
